Interests

Along with being in Psi Chi, I am also in the Student Global Aids Campaign, Pool Players Association, the Poker Players Association, and Hindi Film Society.  I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago, so I know the area pretty well.  I was first interested in psychology during high school when I had a fantastic psychology AP teacher.  At the U of C, I have found that professors here aren't all that bad.  I have had good experiences overall thus far and hope to have more.

Research

Right now, I work in the Susan Goldin-Meadow Lab under Matthew Carlson.  We're working on how bilingualism and gestures affect working memory.

I worked in Susan Levine's Developmental Psychology Lab under the tutelage of Mee-Kyoung Kwon, where I got to help out with experiments where we test sensitivity to number and size for 8-month-old babies.

Potential

I wouldl ike to go to graduate school, most likely at a professional school since the life of an academic does not really seem to suit me.  I am hoping to get a master's in industrial-organizational psychology and most likely work for a company either as a recruiter or in human resources.
